Last Saturday saw The Spice Club’s second supper club of 2012. Our menu featured some Spice Club favourites and some new dishes making their debut. We’re all about serving authentic, home-style Indian food at The Spice Club so we like to feature classic dishes that we eat regularly at home that you may not see at your local Indian restaurants. Fully booked, we set the table and looked forward to seeing some familiar and new faces to join us for our 5 course Indian feast. Check out the photos below for a glimpse into how the evening went…
Papdi Chaat-A classic Indian street food snack topped with tangy,
spicy & sweet homemade chutneys
Our Vegetarian Kofta balls cooked in a Punjabi Masala
Our diners awaiting the next course..
Home made Kulfi-a creamy traditional Ice cream flavoured with cardamom & saffron
The evening went really well. We received some lovely feedback and it was great to wake up to some tweet reviews from our guests including:
@Zen_Edge: Even after a year of anticipation @TheSpiceClub somehow managed to exceed expectations. Sublime food, wonderful hosts, can’t recommend enough!
@xcharlxxx: @TheSpiceClub thankyou to all who made my first spice club a truly wonderful evening. Great hosts, food and fellow guests.
@deekaypee999: Had a fab evening @TheSpiceClub – great food, company and hosting! Will be back soon I hope 🙂
Another reason why the evening was a success was that we passed the £1000 donation mark for our chosen charity Narayan Seva! As many of you know, a percentage of our donations at each supper club are donated to charity so we are overjoyed at the fact that together with you our amazing guests, we have managed to raise over £1000 which will go a very long way to help treat those in India inflicted with Polio. So a big thank you to all of you!! We’re now off to celebrate and work on the menu for our next Spice Club event.
See you soon!
